This was my Great Uncle Mac we would visit him in the summer. I loved going to his mountain cabin in Colorado, fishing with cane poles with all my cousins and brothers, playing in the snow, and taking rides down the river. He was a wonderful uncle. When I was grown I decided to move to Tulsa and attend a Bible college there. I visited with him and Annette when my family came to Camp Meeting July 2011 at Rhema and they told me they were going to put my two boys in private school and were going to give each of my two boys an oil well. We intended to move there and attend the Bible school, but plans fell through that year. We weren't able to move for another decade and he passed away in 2013 two years after we had that conversation when we shared breakfast at IHOP. The year he passed away I also lost both of my grandparents I called Mimi and Boppi. It was my Boppi's wish that I be trained at Rhema. I was finally able to move and attend Rhema in 2021. In 2023, I graduated the Bible school and moved back to Texas to help my parents with the church that was founded by my grandfather (Boppi) Uncle Mac's youngest brother Rev Henry Alloway who also passed the same year Uncle Mac passed away. Mac was the oldest brother and my Bop was the youngest. Bop was the same nickname given to their mutual grandfather. It was not ever spoken about, but the brothers did not like it that we all called my grandfather Bop like their grandfather before him. Uncle Mac did not have any kids, but he was well-loved by myself and my brothers and cousins. I take that back - he did have a son who was estranged from him and his name was Tony. It is no coincidence that Uncle Mac's last oil company was named Tony - that is why. It is a shame that Tony never had to do with his father. It was quite his loss. He was a wonderful man. Loved by many. I don't know what happened to his business, his oil wells, etc. He was also named an Honorary Chief of the Osage Tribe for all the philanthropy that he did for them. I wonder why that is not also included in his bio. It would have been amazing for me and my family if his wishes were honored towards us, but God did not forget us.
