Arthur Carroll Meek Jr.'s Obituary
Meek, Arthur 'Carroll' Jr. was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 30, 2010 at the age of 81 years. Carroll lived to serve the Lord and was an active member and elder of Sandusky Avenue Christian Church for 62 years. He was a Lifelong Tulsa native, born July 2, 1929, operating several businesses, the latter being Meek's Insurance Agency and co-owner of Broken Arrow Pawn. Carroll was an avid fisherman, not only fishing for the 'Big Bass', but for lost souls. He was a member of the Tulsa Masonic Lodge for 56 years and a 32nd degree Mason. He is survived by his precious wife of 62 years, Margie Meek, of the home, son Artie and wife Vickie Meek, daughters; Jeannie and husband Kent Cornwell, Becki and husband John Valenzuela, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, 2 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Carroll was a devoted family man, loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was always there for anyone who needed him. He had a quiet presence, a fun wittiness and a good influence on those he came in touch with. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all. A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday August 3, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Sandusky Avenue Christian Church, TulsaOklahoma.
