Veteran, United States Navy – USS Hopewell, Destroyer
Retired from American Airlines Tulsa OK, formerly with Butler Aviation and Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah GA. Musician (singer and drummer) for many years with numerous bands including USO tours for troops aboard the USS Coral Sea with The Jimmy Case Show, also played with Clyde and Hilda Fenton, Donna Marie, and Roy Drusky, including appearances on The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville TN.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sue, Sister Judith A (Rife) Muhe of Thousand Oaks CA, Sister-in-Law Noreta Baker of St. Paul Arkansas, Brother-in-Law Charles (Shirley) Burrell of St. Paul Arkansas, Bonus Son Biff (Martha) Stephens of Edmond OK, Daughters Charlotte (David) Landes of Westlake OH, and Catherine Root (Dean) Kitchen of Akron OH, Grandchildren Joshua Westbrook, Allison Westbrook, Rashanna (Raef) Canter, Nicholas Root, Justin Kitchen, Derek (Brittany) Landes and Josh (Brittany) Landes; Great Grandchildren Layla, Michael, Gabriel, Ryder, Jaxson, Savannah and Ava. Nieces and nephews: Robert Rife, Rhonda (Rife) Tuller, Paula (Muhe) Leszkiewicz and Joseph W Muhe.
Preceded in death by Mother, June (Figgins) Rife, and Father, Willis (Jack) Rife, Brother Edward L Rife, sister in law Joyce E Rife – all of Columbus OH and brother in law Paul Muhe of Thousand Oaks CA.
