Arvie Columbus Anderson, Jr.'s Obituary
Arvie Columbus Anderson, Jr., 82, of Tulsa, died Tuesday, October 15, 2013. He was born in Beggs, Oklahoma, on December 22, 1930, the son of Arvie and Betty Anderson, Sr. He graduated from Wheatly High School in Beggs, having played baseball and basketball. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force, faithfully serving his country for the next 21 years, before his retirement in 1973. During his time in the military, he met and married the love of his life, Willie Dean Anderson, in Texas. Arvie was very motivated, having owned several businesses and always looking forward to his next venture. He faithfully attended and sang in the choir at First Baptist Church of North Tulsa. He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Anderson Cashaw, of Tulsa, Barbara Anderson, of Bermuda, and son, Bobby Lampkins, of Beggs, Oklahoma, 6 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
