Barbara Jean “Bobbie” Cable
Broken Arrow, Oklahoma – Barbara Jean “Bobbie” Cable, a faithful servant of Christ, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on July 18, 2025, at the age of 81.
Bobbie was born on February 4, 1944, in Winfield, Kansas. She lived her life anchored in faith, joyfully sharing the gospel message with everyone she encountered and leaving a legacy of love and devotion to her Savior and her family.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Cable, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage before his passing on September 4, 2023. Their reunion in Christ brings comfort to their family, knowing they are together again in the presence of the Lord. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Robert Vickery and Margaret Ballenger, and her sister, Jackie.
Bobbie is survived by her sister Linda and Deral Palmer of Texas, and her sister Gloria and Sam Hartgrave of Oklahoma, as well as her children: Brad and Stephanie Cable of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma; Cathey and David George of Broken Arrow; Jennie and Mike Herndon of Broken Arrow; and Zac and Nina Cable of Broken Arrow. She was a proud grandmother to 22 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, each of whom she cherished deeply and prayed for faithfully.
A dedicated member of Tulsa Bible Church, Bobbie’s life was marked by service and a deep love for God’s Word. She was passionate about using every opportunity to point others toward Christ and His saving grace. Her kindness, hospitality, and unwavering faith were a testimony to all who knew her.
