Barbara was a dear friend and I'm blessed to have had her for a friend. We met at church and after the separation of churches we still kept in touch, went to lunch occasionally. WISH I had been able to have met with her last summer as we had temporally planned to do. Heaven has gained an angel.
Barbie was my boss from 1986 to 2001 or so. She was the best boss I had in 40 years of nursing. She was kind, compassionate, strong in support of her staff and never let the tough doctors be gruff to her nurses. She really knew how to lead. Rest in peace Barbie and may your family be comforted in their time of sadness. Praying for you all
Barbie was a gem. How marvelous to have worked under her direction for years at St John. She was a true patient advocate and a wonderful director. I knew the family since grade school. Once when she was sick, I took Sisters flowers up to her room and gave them to her. She made me put them back in front of the statue of Jesus. Everyone had a good laugh and I know it cheered her up. Soar with the angels Barbie.
