Barbara Arlene Diedrich's Obituary
Barbara Arlene Diedrich, 87, former resident of Tulsa for 60 years passed away June 10, 2019 in Houston, Texas. Barbara was born January 4, 1932 in Osawatamie, Kansas to Harry and Edith Yocum. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She is preceded in passing by her husband and her parents. She is survived by her daughter, LaDena King; daughter, Stacey Schierloh and her husband, Jay; grandchildren, Joel Schierloh and his wife, Lauren, John Schierloh, Sarah Peters and her husband, Ryan, Farrah Seay and her husband, Matthew, Disiree Keomany and her husband, Pipo; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.Barbara moved to Tulsa ,OK in 1957 and met the love of her life, Dempsey Paul Diedrich. They married in November 1957. They celebrated their 60th anniversary in November 2017. She was a wonderful wife and caring mother to LaDena and Stacey. She was passionate about being a mom and later a grandmother. She could always put a crying baby to sleep with her firm pats and loving embrace. She loved cooking, sewing, crafting, gardening and travel. She and Dempsey flew to many parts of the world. They also traveled across the United States in their RV. She loved playing many kinds of games. There was always a card game or dominoes when family visited.
