Barbara Jean Goodenough's Obituary
Barbara Goodenough was born March 6, 1937 in Benton Arkansas, to John D. and Pauline Sims. She passed away on Sunday August 7, 2016 at the age of 79 years. She married Roy Goodenough June 19, 1954 in Oklahoma City, Ok. He preceded her in death on December 23, 1988 after 34 years of marriage. Barbara is survived by her daughter Chonna and husband Tommie Denton of Broken Arrow, OK. One Grandson Chris Caughron and his girlfriend Ariel Lindsey of Broken Arrow, Ok. Granddaughter’s Brandi and husband Chad Smith of Broken Arrow, OK. Cristin and wife Kasey Cruz of Saginaw Texas, Suzie and husband Charley Hinseley of Shawnee, OK., Great-Grandaughter Lynea Smith, One Brother Tim and wife Marilyn Sims of Tulsa, Ok, Sister N Laws Tonna and husband Jim Womble of Thomaston GA, Karen Anthony of Thomaston GA, and Karel Goodenough of Tulsa, OK. Brother N Law Jerry and wife Diana of Piedmont, OK 2 Nieces, Sharon and husband Don Vallier of Oklahoma City, OK, Lisa and husband Steve McAlister of Colorado Springs, CO., Nephews Travis Sims of Tulsa, Ok, Mike and Matt Goodenough of Tulsa, OK, Dwayne and wife Diane Eastwood of New Braunfels Texas. Great Nieces Jessica Vallier of Oklahoma City, OK, Emily and husband Jason Kuiper of Giddings TX, and Great Nephews Jeremy and wife Krystal Vallier of Odessa, TX. Daniel and wife Karey of Virginia Beach, VA Barbara also leaves behind her loving and gracious caretaker’s Shirley Brown of Collinsville, OK. And Elizabeth Stegal of Tulsa, OK. To which her family will be forever grateful for the excellent care and compassion they gave to her. Barbara was preceded in Death by her sister DeAnna Eastwood, mother Pauline Sims and father John D Sims. Funeral Service Thursday, August 11th, 2016-3:00 p.m.-Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
