August 15, 1946 – January 21, 2017 (age 70)Barbara Jean Wyatt, 70, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2017, in her home surrounded by family. Barbara was born August 15, 1946, in Tulsa, OK to William Curtis Rothrock and Violet Mae Howard Rothrock. She was married to and preceded in death by Donald Ray Wyatt. They had four children. Together, they built their dream home.Barbara is survived by her mother, Violet Rothrock, four children, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one brother, one sister-in-law, two sisters, one brother-in-law and her late husband’s brother, Basil. Her daughter Christine Bowe has one son, Logan. Her daughter Sallie is married to Dan Ruskoski and together they have three children, Laura, Melanie and Curtis, and Barbara’s only great-grandchild, Rebecca. Her son Don is married to Tara and together they have two children, Savanna and Isaac. Her son Ron has a son, Zander. All children, grandchildren and great-grandchild reside in the Tulsa area.After graduating from Union High School, she attended Draughon’s School of Business. She then worked at Seismograph Corporation, where she met her husband, Don.They dated 7 months before eloping on April 29, 1967, to Nowata, OK. They were married for almost 48 years. After their marriage, Barbara became a beautician and worked for more than 40 years in that profession. She took great joy in her work as a beautician.She and her husband enjoyed square dancing and attended national square dancing conventions. During the early years of their marriage, they could often be found on the lake water skiing and boating. She was often referred to as “drop dead gorgeous.” Barbara had a smile that would light up an entire room.A celebration of her life will be Wednesday, January 25 at 10:00 am at Floral Haven Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 24, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Floral Haven.
