Barbara "Bobi" Patterson's Obituary
Barbara “Bobi” Patterson, 81, passed away December 30, 2016. Barbara was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 4, 1935 to Peter and Olive Burkhalter. She came from a long line of educators and received her Allied Health Degree at Towson State University later in life after raising a family. She had a rich and fulfilling life working within the public health field, volunteering with numerous organizations, and sharing her love as a lifelong learner with others.Barbara raised three boys and lived her early years in both the Midwest (Indiana, Illinois, Iowa) and on the East Coast in the Baltimore, Maryland area. She enjoyed her later years in both Colorado and Tulsa, Oklahoma. Barbara’s faith was of great importance to her and she was a devoted Christian who spent much of her life involved in the church choir and community and being a servant of the Lord.Barbara is survived by her faithful husband Ron Patterson. Her family includes her sister, Becky Cook of Prescott Valley, Arizona; her three sons and their spouses, Bill Cameron (Becky) of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, Bob Cameron (Barb) of Spokane, Washington, and Bruce Cameron (Kimberly) of Bel Air, Maryland. Her grandchildren include Bryan and Brendan Cameron, KellyAnn and Erin Stuebing-Cameron, and Brooke and Kristen Cameron.Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and brother Alan.Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Floral Haven Funeral Home.A memorial service will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 10:00 AM.
