Barbara Ann Seabolt's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Ann Seabolt announce her passing on November 6, 2024, at the age of 85.
Barbara was born June 3, 1935 in Heron Lake MN and raised in Spokane WA where she graduated from Rogers High School. After her divorce, she was a single mother raising four small children by waitressing at Denny's in Spokane when she met the love of her life, Billy, in 1967. It wasn't long and she was married, packing up her belongings and children and moving to Tulsa OK where she became Mom to four more children. After a year, there was another addition to the family and eight children became nine. Barbara was very active in the homeroom mothers at the community school of Mingo, where she organized activities, homeroom parties and helped at concession stands for basketball games, As her children grew up and graduated from high school, she started training with her husband to drive 18-wheel trucks so they could become a team to drive together. Known by her CB handle as Barbie Doll, she made many friends across the western U.S. and logged millions of miles earning several awards for her safe driving.
Even though she was gone every week, family was everything to her and she would always make time for her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roderick Hedquist (Virginia) and Loris Creel (Robert), sister Janet LaFara, daughter Lori Vought, son Mark Vought, granddaughter Mandi Reidhead, grandson Casey Williams and great granddaughter Ashley Lewis.
