Barbara Rose Spurrier's Obituary
Barbara Rose Spurrier was born on 23rd day of January 1937 and passed for this earth on 4th day of January 2018 at the age of 80. She enjoyed sewing and making hats for individuals with cancer and baking gluten free peanut butter cookies for her class. Barbara volunteered in Mrs. Williams 4th grade class at Francis Scott Key, World Bible School, Meals on Wheels and many others. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and her Thursday Ladies group.She worked as a registered Nurse and sane nurse for 40 years. In 1988 she was the nurse of the year at Saint John’s. Barbara was preceded in death by both parents; Alsa Lee Miller Cantrell and Margaret Ruth (Kent) Williams; sister and best friend: Betty Smith; late husband: Maurice Forhan.She is survived by her Husband Norman Spurrier of Tulsa, Ok; Six Children: Margaret Rose of Claremore, Ok; Jimmy Jack of Tulsa, Ok; Leesa Carol and Jimmy Dale of Sasakwa, Ok; Mary Ruth and Buck of Haskell, Ok; Joseph Kent of Owasso, Ok; Charles Walter and Susan of Muskogee, Ok; 12 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.Viewing will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Garden of Serenity with Dale Choateofficiating.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Francis Scott Key Elementary School in Tulsa @ http://key.tulsa.schooldesk.net/
