Barbara Stines' Obituary
Barbara Kay Stines, 68 of Coweta, Oklahoma passed from this life on Thursday, September 13, 2018 in a Tulsa hospital. She was born January 3, 1950 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late John Martin and Kathleen Maude Evans Martin.The 3 things in life that Barbara loved most were her grandkids, camping with Heavy, and drinking beer, simple things for a simple woman. I have yet to find one single person in life who had anything but love for her. She was a tiny woman who would go toe to toe with anybody who did anything to her children.She is survived by one son, Thomas Stines and wife Cindy of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one daughter, Laura Alexander and husband Larry of Coweta, Oklahoma; two brothers, Kenneth Martin and wife Sharon of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Phillip Martin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister, Christine Kent of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Ann Martin of Glenpool, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Dalton Stines, Bailey Stines, Taylor Stines, Michelle Thomas and Scott Alexander; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Stines; her parents, John and Kathleen Martin; one brother, Jerry Martin and one brother-in-law, Calvin Kent.Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Memorials may be made in Barbara’s honor to the Disabled American Veteran’s or Folds of Honor.
