Barbara Jo Webb's Obituary
Barbara Jo Harris Webb, December 28, 1946 - May 11, 2025
Barbara Jo Harris Webb passed away peacefully at home in Oktaha, OK, with her husband close by, on May 11, 2025. Barbara was born in Oktaha to Joseph and Frances Harris on December 28, 1946. She attended Oktaha High School and received her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Tulsa Community College. She worked as a registered nurse in pediatrics and home health, retiring in 2013. She was married to Jerry Webb for 61 years. She was also a mom to five children, “Nanny” to 11 grandchildren, and had one great-grandchild. She was a devoted Christian, whose faith shaped how she lived and loved.
Barbara was a master crafter and spent much of her time sewing. She made Halloween costumes for her children and grandchildren. In her retirement years, she made quilts with the help of her husband. She was also an excellent baker and cook, known for making the best birthday and wedding cakes for friends and family. Barbara was a loving nurse with a passion for caring for children and was inspired to pursue nursing after spending time in the hospital with her daughter during leukemia treatment. She also inspired the women in our family to pursue nursing careers. She loved her family and friends dearly, and her presence will be missed by all of us.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Jerry; her children and their spouses, Joey and Staci Webb, Mike Webb, Amanda and Mark Janitz, and Cara and Tara Lord; ten grandchildren; and her brother, Grant. She was predeceased by her parents, Joe and Frances Harris; her daughter, Monique; and her granddaughter, Rebecca.
Her funeral will be held on Saturday, May 17, at 12:30 p.m. at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Garden of Memories, with a visitation on Friday, May 16, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Children’s Hospital Foundation at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa: https://www.saintfrancis.com/childrens/the-childrens-hospital-foundation/ways-help/mon
