Barbara K. Williams' Obituary
Barbara K Williams passed away on January 1, 2016 at St Francis hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born the second of three children on April 19, 1942 in Wichita Kansas to John and Georgia Criser. She graduated from Bishop McGuiness High School in Oklahoma City, attended Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Oklahoma State University with a teaching degree in Physical Education.Barbara married the love of her life Charles Williams on June 7th, 1969 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The family moved to Broken Arrow, OK in 1984 where she spent many years as a PTA volunteer, including a few years as PTA president and she belonged to numerous clubs. She was a member of St Anne Catholic church, strong in her faith and rarely missed church. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, step-mother and beloved grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her three grandchildren. She was warm and loving with a beautiful spirt that touched all who knew her. Her extraordinary faith led her into eternity with a smile on her face. She will be forever missed.Barbara is survived by son David Williams and wife Dawnelle of Broken Arrow, OK; son Danny Williams and wife Aimee of Broken Arrow, OK; grandchildren Christopher, Katelyn and Gunnar; brother Bill Criser and wife Gloria of Oklahoma City, OK; sister Alla Reba Nance of Wichita, KS; step-son Dexter Williams and wife Cathy of Klamath Falls, OR as well as a large extended family.Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Charles; her step-daughter Dionne Williams; and both of her parents.Visitation will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 12 pm to 5 pm. Rosary will be held later that night at 7 pm same location.Funeral services will be held at St. Anne Catholic Church of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 1 pm.Donations can be made to Catholic Charities of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
