Benjamin Edwards' Obituary
Benjamin Bert Edwards, 77, of Broken Arrow, was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on September 15, 1943, and died March 9, 2021. He taught English at Tulsa Community College, formerly Tulsa Junior College, from the time it opened until he retired in 2009. He was also a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves and a faithful member of First Baptist Broken Arrow. He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Mary Edwards; his wife of forty-seven years, Loretta; and his brother-in-law Larry Parker of Louisville, Ohio. He is survived by his daughter Alicia Edwards of Broken Arrow; his brother Timothy Edwards of Midwest City, Oklahoma; his nephew Benjamin Edwards and his family; and his sister-in-law Dolores Parker and her family in Louisville, Ohio. Graveside services will be Friday, March 12, 2021, at 10:30 am at Floral Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children, obhc.org.
