Benjamin John, 75, died Monday June 20th, 2017 surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his wife, Zeenat John; his children, Blossom Samuel, Bernice John and Dr. Barnabas John; his grand children Ariel Samuel, Noah Samuel, Connor John, and Logan John. He was born in Karachi Pakistan on November 1st, 1941 and traveled to Okmulgee, Oklahoma in 1979 to give his family a better life in the United States of America. On his way from Pakistan he began preaching in Libya where his two daughters were born and spent several years preaching the word of God. He ensured that his children would have the ability to practice Christianity freely and receive the best education by coming to the United States of America. He raised his family in church where they attended Woodlake Assembly of God. He was faithful to his church and community, often willing to help anyone in need even bringing strangers to his home.He always believed in the power of education and completed a degree at Oklahoma State University in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He used the skills he learned here to provide for his family and to work on cars, which has a hobby of his. He enjoyed working on cars and made sure his children knew how to as well. He worked hard to provide for his family and continued to work even after his children were grown to be able to make sure that they could complete their education. It was his dream for one of his children to become a doctor. And in 2008, his son fulfilled that dream. He was passionate about his children and grandchildren and wanted to spend as much time as possible with them. Another passion of his was to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and he showed God’s love to everyone he interacted with. He was a man that had strong convictions and was not afraid to stand up for what he believed was right. He will be greatly missed and was loved deeply by his family.
