Benjamin C. Lockman's Obituary
Benjamin Cyrus Lockman, 87, a resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed away on October 30, 2022. He was born on January 2, 1935, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Andrew and Alma Lockman. Born in a farmhouse on the outskirts of Bartlesville in Osage County. He was the eldest child of 6 children. He married Shirley Ann Duncan at the age of 17 and they had 3 children during their marriage. In later years he met and married Roberta Miller. They stayed married for 40 years and decided to be buried together. He graduated from Bartlesville Sr. High School. He then started as a Draftsman for Phillips Petroleum. While he was still at Phillips, he moved up to Geotech. He then changed jobs to Cities Service in the Geophysical field. His last career move was to Computer Drafting and LED Industry with his advanced training and acquired knowledge. During his career, jobs led him to Houston Texas, Bakersfield California, then back to Houston again. He finally returned to Broken Arrow Oklahoma to take care of his mother while still working remotely from his home until he officially retired at the age of 70. When he wasn't working his hobbies included woodcarving, fishing, and spending time in the mountains in California.
Benjamin was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Cyrus Lockman; his mother, Alma Jean Lockman; his youngest brother, Mitchell Ray Lockman, and his nephew, Bryan Goyer.
He is survived by his daughter, Terri Downs, and her husband Russell; his daughter, Sandi Bagley, and her husband, Todd; his son, Jay Lockman, and his wife, Liz; his siblings, Danny, Andy, Rick, and Misha; his grandchildren, Nathan and Caleb and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life Service will be 12:30 pm, Friday, December 4, 2022, at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel
