Berl Wayne Andrews' Obituary
Berl Wayne Andrews, 87, of Catoosa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025. Born on March 9, 1938, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, Berl was the cherished son of Dennis Albert and Minnie Belle (Strebeck) Andrews.
Berl proudly served his country in the United States Navy, retiring in 1975 after a distinguished career. Following his military service, he continued his dedication to excellence by working for McDonnell Douglas, where he contributed to the advancement of aviation and aerospace.
Beyond his professional life, Berl was known for his vibrant spirit and love of adventure. He delighted in singing karaoke, sharing his voice and joy with friends and family. He was an active participant in Wheels Across Oklahoma, where he found community and camaraderie. Berl’s passion for travel took him across the United States and even abroad to Germany, where he visited his son, Alex. His journeys included memorable trips to San Antonio, Texas, Georgia, and a special moment when he surprised his beloved wife, Edith, with a nighttime view of the lights in Albuquerque, New Mexico, during a road trip from California.
Berl’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Edith Andrews; his son, Alex Andrews, and wife Jessica; grandchildren, Devon Andrews and Charro Kellis with her husband Jared; and great-grandchildren, Gabby Andrews, Carter Andrews, Magie Kellis, Waylon Kellis, and Aubrie Kellis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Minnie Andrews, whose love and guidance shaped his life.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
Berl will be remembered for his unwavering love of family, his adventurous spirit, and the joy he brought to all who knew him.
