Bernice Remington's Obituary
Bernice Remington, 100 of Tulsa, passed away in Broken Arrow, OK on Sunday, January 25, 2026. She was born October 7, 1925 in Cameron, OK. Bernice raised 7 children, in addition to being a caregiver to many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and neighborhood friends. She retired from Sky Chefs in 1991 after more than 2 decades.
Bernice was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Jack. Also preceding her in death was her only daughter, Janet Pittman Stanley, and her parents.
She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend. Along with her husband, Bernice had 11 children, 21 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grand-children and a host of other family. Surviving children are sons, Don Porter and wife Claudia of Tulsa, Jim Pittman and wife Joyce of Catoosa, Jerry Pittman and wife Rhonda of Van Buren, AR., Billy Pittman of Tulsa, Greg Pittman and wife Alice of Tulsa, and Christopher Lindsey and his husband, Dr. Scott Lindsey of Tulsa. In addition, John Remington and wife Jan of Langley, OK and daughter Gail Remington Sears of Coweta.
Services will be held at Floral Haven Chapel in Broken Arrow on Thursday, January 29 at 12:30 pm, officiating Rev. Chris Moore (Fellowship Congregational UCC). The family will host a viewing from 4:00pm-7:00pm on Wednesday at the Floral Haven Funeral Home.
