Bernice Lucille Sober's Obituary
Bernice Lucile Sober (1918-2011) Bernice Lucile Sober of Tulsa died December 30, 2011. As the oldest daughter of Clarence and Edith Patrick, she was born in Beggs, OK on February 12, 1918 and grew up on a farm near Mounds, OK. She was married to John Franklin 'Frank' Sober of DuBois, PA on January 6, 1940. As a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Bernice enjoyed a wonderful life always caring and doing for family, friends, and others. She and Frank were active for many years in the Brookside Chapter of Eastern Star, where she served in many officialpositions including multiple terms as theWorthy Matron. Both Bernice and Frank were long time members of Asbury Methodist Church in Tulsa. She and Frank lived most of their 72 years of marriage in Tulsa. She is survived by her husband, Frank, of Inverness Village, brother, Clifford Patrick, of Mounds, OK, sister, Jerry Davey of Tulsa and three sons, John and wife Susan of Shawnee, Bob and wife Sandy of Tulsa, andRon and wife Joy of Tulsa. She enjoyed seven grandchildren, Kristin,Brantly, Jennifer, Adam, Jason, Heather, and Lacy, and six great grandchildren, Madeline, Connor, and Zoe McPhail, Lila and Chloe Gates, and Aspen Zimmerman. She will be terribly missed by her family and all who knew her. Viewing is at Floral Haven on Thursday, January 5th between noon and 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Floral Haven, Broken Arrow, OK at 10:00 am on Friday, January 6. Anyone wishing to send flowers is encouraged instead to make a charitable contribution to Alzheimer's Association, 2448 E. 81st St., Suite 3000, Tulsa, 74137. January 6th also marks the 72nd anniversary of Frank and Bernice's marriage. While Bernice can't be there physically she will be there in spirit.
