Bernice Marjorie Thompson's Obituary
Bernice Thompson, age 98, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born in Cleburne, Kansas on July 18, 1917 to Augusta and Joseph F. Musil. She was a school teacher, homemaker and long-time member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Ronald Reed, and husband Calvin Thompson. Surviving Bernice are her daughters Judy (Mike) Clifford and Carol Reed; as well as her brother J. Donald Musil, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from 12 pm to 8 pm. Services will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 10:00 am. The family wishes to extend special thanks for the loving care provided by Ambassador Courtyards and the staff at Saint Francis Hospital. In lieu of flowers, please direct your contributions to St. Francis Hospice (6600 S. Yale Ave. Suite 350 Tulsa, Ok 74136) designated for the palliative care impatient unit or a charity of your choice.
