My wife and I moved into a house by Bernie, Heather, and a very young Brody. We were welcomed and quickly became friends. We shared some great memories with both of us raising young kids, and Bernie was someone that I looked up to as a young husband and father myself. He not only helped me with the use of his riding mower anytime I needed it, but he was just the kind of guy that you always felt was just right there to help or ask a question and never asked anything in return. You couldn't ask for better neighbors. I truly was honored to call him a friend, albeit several years ago, he, Heather, and the kids will always have a place in our Hearts.
