I could tell many a tale about my sister, Dianne. She and I were born four years apart, me on June 1 43, and Dianne on June 29, 47. She and I were involved in many adventures before the two brothers, Ron and Steve came along. Our Dad was an adventurous if not bold job seeker who was ever changing positions, at first for the same furniture company in West End, an area south west of downtown Atlanta, and eventually with bigger companies. Before our first brother was born Mom and Dad had already had us move four times, once to Spartanburg SC, later back to Atlanta, then to Gastonia, NC, and back to Atlanta. That was four jobs with three different companies. There were to be two more major moves Dianne and I enjoyed after Ron and Steve came along, and four more after she and I had both married and moved along. Needless to say there were no boring moments, and hardly enough time in a school to learn classmate names, much less make lasting friends. Anyway, she and I became each other’s best friends for a very long time ! A favorite pastime we had was pantomime, which Dianne mastered at a young age. When she was only three she picked up on a tv character from a show we only saw once, and on a tv with a four inch screen. “Mrs Hootennanny”. Every night for months she would parade around the living room entertaining us with Mrs Hootennanny antics, pretending to cook, making funny jestures, and generally giving us something to laugh about. I’ll never forget all of us laughing our heads off!!!
