Bettie L. Irving's Obituary
Bettie L. Irving, 79, of Tulsa, died on Monday, February 10, 2014. She was born on January 7, 1935 in Hiawatha, Kansas, the daughter of Harvey and Maude Hards. On July 23, 1952, she married Robert Irving, in Kansas. Bettie loved to bowl. She excelled to the point that she is in the Tulsa Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame. She was passionate about the sport and enjoyed teaching children how to bowl and appreciate the game as well. She is survived by four children, Caroline Sue Lee, and her husband, John, of Claremore, Oklahoma, Sheryl Shuck, and her husband, Marvin, of Claremore, Oklahoma, Ed L. Irving, and his wife, Michele, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Judy Irving, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, brother, Delmer Hards, sister, Bonnie Hossfeld, and numerous other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and three sisters.
