Betty "Elaine" Christ's Obituary
Betty “Elaine” Christ, 70, of Catoosa, Oklahoma, passed away on July 12th, 2025, in Bartlesville, OK. She was born on February 3, 1955, in Tulare, California, to William George Lishbrook and Betty Emalene Wallis (Spicer).
Elaine was one-of-a-kind. She was spunky, strong, outspoken, and full of love. She didn’t sugarcoat anything, and that’s what made her so real. Some may have even called her a thug. She had a tough side but a huge heart, and she made friends everywhere she went.
She loved being outside, especially if it involved fishing, camping, or just enjoying nature. Butterflies were her favorite, and she loved the color purple. She had a love for turquoise jewelry and wore it often. If there was an old Western playing on TV, she was probably watching it. Gunsmoke was her favorite, and she had a soft spot for Sam Elliott.
Elaine also loved to read and crochet, but cooking was her way of showing love. She could take whatever was in the kitchen and whip up something amazing; it was part of her magic. Her home was always open, and so was her heart.
She married Don Allen Christ, and together they built a big, loving family. Elaine is survived by her mother Betty Emalene Wallis, lovingly known as Tootsie, children: Candy and Shane Casto, Sandra and Patrick Gray, Tonia Ingram, Thomas Ingram, and Krystal Brown, siblings: Ricky Lishbrook, Donna Chapman, William Jr., Brenda, James Lishbrook, Jody Lishbrook, Karen and Frank Fields, and Scott and Cindy McGill, grandkids: Alyson Chambers, Hayden Chambers, Miracle Gray, Elexais Gonzalez, Cameron Encarnacion, Jade Jordan and Levi Jordan, and great-grandkids Teagan, Delilah, Trevor, and CJ, were her pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by her father William, brother Kevin McGill, grandma Geneva Spicer, aunt Janette “Cookie” Conley, and Grandpa Richard Rufus Spicer.
She was the kind of person who made a lasting impact just by being herself. She’ll be missed deeply and remembered with love, laughter, and lots of stories.
