Betty Jo Cooper's Obituary
Betty Jo Cooper passed away from this life on November 28, 2023 at the age of 91. She was a resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma at the time of her death. Betty was born on July 18, 1932 in Crosbyton, Texas and was preceded in death by her parents, Allen B. and Aubrey Thomas; three sisters, Mabelle Wallace, Irene Marley, and Jackie Baker; three children, Bill Hofert, Charlene Hofert Dowdy, and Nick Hofert from her first marriage to Wayne Hofert; and a great-great-grandson.
On April 16, 1958, Betty married David Cooper and Betty’s children came to know him as a loving and respected father.
Later in life, Betty became a licensed beautician. Her strong work ethics enabled her to very successfully operate her own beauty salons. She also enjoyed quilting, gardening and was always a member of the Baptist Church.
In recent years she lived and was very active at Morada Senior Living Facility. She participated in many different activities and loved the live music shows and other scheduled activities for the residence.
Betty is survived by her daughter-in-law and caregiver, Joan Hofert, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Betty’s final resting place will be at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow, OK. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later time.
