Betty Jean Creech's Obituary
Betty Jean Creech, 83, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, entered into the presence of the Lord on January 29th, 2015 in Tulsa, OK. She was born March 31st, 1931 in Ada, Oklahoma to John Green Fletcher and Callie Morris Fletcher. Betty attended Ada High and graduated in 1949. After high school she attended business school and worked at the Thompson Bookstore in Ada, Oklahoma. During that time she met the love of her life and husband of 58 years, Orel Eugene Creech. They were married in McAlester, Oklahoma in 1956. Betty worked at the University of Tulsa as a secretary in the religion department. She retired from the University of Tulsa in 1993. Betty dedicated her life to Christ and was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Tulsa, OK and later became a member of Airport Free Will Baptist Church in Tulsa, OK. Betty loved to travel, read, and was an avid supporter of the University of Tulsa basketball and football programs. Most of all, she loved being active and involved with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Orel Eugene Creech; sister, Wanda Duck; children, Stephen and Donna Sutton Creech, and Callie Menken. grandchildren; Ryan and Lacy Emerson, Dylan Menken, Dallas Menken, Spencer Creech and one great grandchild, Laila Emerson. Funeral Service 10:00 am Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Airport Freeewill Baptist Church.
