Betty Nannette Daniel's Obituary
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 18th, 2024, at 3:00 pm, in the Floral Haven Chapel. Born February 1st, 1936, in Muskogee, OK, to Roscoe McKinley & Nannie Garrison Matthews, she peacefully passed from this life at Montereau, in Tulsa, OK, on June 12th, 2024. During her childhood, she lived in several Oklahoma and Mississippi communities, and as an adult, resided in Tulsa and Dallas, TX. In 1957, following her move to Tulsa, she met and married University of Tulsa student Samuel E. Daniel. Throughout their 54 year marriage, she and her husband were active volunteers in the Tulsa community; serving as benefactors to many charitable, civic, professional, and social organizations. Most important to her, she was a devout, longtime member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her family and volunteer activities, she was a very talented artist; specializing in oil paintings. Predeceased by her husband, parents, grandson Kevin, and six siblings, she is survived by her sons; Phil, Gary & wife Kelli, and Ron; grandchildren, Kolton, Kamiren, and Kai; siblings, Paula, Clara, and Art; several nieces & nephews; best friend, Barbara; and brother-in-law Fred Daniel, with whom she maintained a close relationship following the passing of her husband in 2012. She will always be remembered as being a very gracious, kind, compassionate, Christian lady, who was happiest when she was taking care of her family and assisting those in need. The world is a much better place as a result of the many good works that she generously performed throughout her lifetime. Betty was much loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed
