Betty Jo Davis' Obituary
Betty Jo (Hulsey) Davis was born in Tamaha, OK on July 18, 1931. As an only child she was raised in this close-knit community along with many aunts and uncles being very close to her age. Her father, Irvin Moss, was a carpenter and her mother, Minnie (Bryant) Moss, was a homemaker. Betty married Leon (Cotton) Hulsey whom she had known for many years. The family moved to Tulsa in 1954. Three children, Alan, Pat, and Cindy were born to this union of 43 years.
Betty was beautiful inside and out. She was a kind, loving woman and always supportive of her family, her many relatives, and friends. She was baptized at Easton Heights Baptist Church at age 26. She and Leon were active in this church and taught Sunday School for years.
Betty passed away Friday, May 8. She is survived by her son, Alan Hulsey (wife Peggy), daughter Pat Chernicky, son-in Law Shannon Hall, granddaughters Jennifer Campbell (Husband Micah), Lily Sarver (husband David) and great grandson Noah Campbell. She was preceded in death by her mother Minnie Bryant Moss, her father Irvin Moss and her daughter Cindy Hulsey-Hall.
A service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Floral Haven Funeral Home where she will be buried alongside her husband Leon and her parents, Irvin and Minnie Moss.
