Betty L. Kelly's Obituary
Betty L. Kelly, age 82, of Edmond, formerly of Broken Arrow passed from this life on July 31, 2011 at her home. She was born on September 13, 1928 in East Moline, Illinois to Oscar and Faye (Struck) Lybeck. She graduated from Davenport High School and attended Northern Iowa University. Betty married Robert Kelly on August 29, 1950. She was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow, Broken Arrow Seniors, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Special Olympics. Betty was a committed wife, mother and grandmother. She loved music and sang all her life. Her faith and servants heart was evident to all who knew her. She had an infectious laugh and a joy for life. Betty is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert Kelly; children: Carol Cullum and her husband Jerry of Edmond, Sue Shelton and her husband Terry of Mannford; 6 grandchildren: Kendra VanEron, Sarah Falcon, Austin Cullum, Lacy Youngblood, Cody Shelton, Matthew Shelton; 3 great grandchildren: Emily and Brady VanEron, Aidan Falcon; sister: Leilani Fitzgerald; 3 nieces and 2 nephews. Visitation will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 from the hours of 5:00 ' 9:00 PM with the family receiving visitors from 6:00 ' 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011, 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow with interment following at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Floral Haven 918.252.2518
