Betty Marie Bynum's Obituary
Betty Marie Bynum, a resident of Tulsa, passed away April 8, 2017 at the age of 91. She was born February 11, 1926 to James Franklin Bates and Fannie Mae (Talley) Bates in Decatur, Alabama. Betty worked at St. John’s Pediatric’s as a Nurse’s Aide for 23 years. She enjoyed working in the garden, ceramics, fishing and taking care of elders but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.She was preceded in death by her parents, James Franklin and Fannie Mae Bates; husband, Howard Bynum; four children, Ronnie, Larry Joe Bynum, Bertha Marie Campbell and James Douglas Campbell; sister, Mamie Townsend; four brothers, Thomas, Dick, Bud and Jackie Bates.Survivors include her two sons, Bobby Bynum and wife, Sharon; Rick Bynum and wife, Paula; seven grandchildren, Robert Bynum and wife, Tamara, Valarie Mathews and husband, Jason, David Bynum and wife, Heather, Ashlee Osborn and husband, Kenny, Cynthia Osterhout and husband, Scott, Joseph Bynum and wife, Kenda and Sarah Bynum; fifteen great grandchildren, Jessica, Mariah, Macy, Summer, Jeremy, Dakota, Autumn, Katelynn, Gage, Kellan, Elliot, Oliver, Lucy, Alaska and Charlie; numerous other relatives and friends.Family will greet friends Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2017 at The Church at BattleCreek in Broken Arrow. Burial will follow the service at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.Pallbearers will be David Bynum, Kenny Osborn, Robert Bynum, Joseph Bynum, Scott Osterhout and Jason Mathews. Honorary Pallbearers will be Anthony Martin and Everett Long.
