Betty Ellen McDaniel's Obituary
Betty McDaniel passed away Thursday, February 22nd 2018 at her home in Oilton Oklahoma. Betty Ellen Armstrong was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on December 5th, 1928 to her parents, Corwin and Alice Armstrong. She graduated from Will Rogers High School and attended Oklahoma Baptist University. In 1950, she married Neil Marks, and together they moved to his hometown, Seattle, Washington. Neil and Betty had 3 children. Betty lived in the Seattle/Tacoma area for 30 years before moving back to Oklahoma and settling in Oilton. She met and married Howard McDaniel in 1988. Betty worked at Oklahoma State University in an administrative position and retired after working there for 10 years. Welcoming her to Heaven are father of her children Frederick Neil Marks, husband Howard Lee McDaniel, her parents Alice Rough Armstrong Lindsay and Corwin Thomas Armstrong, her daughter Christine Alice Marks Weaver, and step daughters Sandy McDaniel Wise, and Kathy McDaniel Hancock. Greatly missing her until they join her in Heaven are her son David Paul Marks and his wife Isabella, her daughter Sharon Elizabeth Marks Smith and her husband Brian, her step sons Rick McDaniel and his wife Pam, Ted McDaniel and his wife Marilyn, her much loved granddaughters Shelby Christine Marks and her fiance Samuel Dean Reams, and Noane Brendel. Visitation will be held 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 27, 2018, Floral Haven Funeral Home Visitation Suites, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2018, 1:00 PM, First Baptist Church, 308 W. Rodgers, Oilton, Oklahoma.
