Betty Reeves' Obituary
Betty Jean (Ferguson) Reeves passed away in St. John hospital in Tulsa on 28 February 2023 surrounded by loved ones. She was 94 years old. Betty was born in Baltimore, Maryland on 18 August 1928 to Harold and Vivian Ferguson. She had a younger brother, Bobby; and they were raised in the Washington, DC area. Betty graduated from the University of Maryland, where she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. She met her husband, Gary Reeves, in St. Louis. They were married on the East coast and moved to Oklahoma where they raised their four children in Tulsa. Betty and Gary retired to the Claremore area where they enjoyed life in the country. Gary passed away at home in the fall of 2020. Betty is survived by her four children; Nancy, Carol, Jack and Susan. She was affectionately known as "BeBe" to her grandchildren Jeffrey and his wife Lorena, Brett and his wife Sarah, and Kendall and Garrett. Betty welcomed her first great-grandchild, Elijah, last summer. She is also survived by her 100 year old aunt, Eileen Willis, as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a woman always up for travel and an adventure, loved life, enjoyed people and wanted to know everyone's story. She lived a full life and will be greatly missed by family and friends. There will be a celebration of life for both Betty and Gary later this spring at their beloved home outside of Claremore.
