Betty Jane Shannon's Obituary
Betty Jane, “B.J.”, Shannon, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 79 years old. She was born on August 20, 1942 in Mansfield, MO to Ruth Louise (Padgett) Mullnack and Jesse Boyd Mullnack. She was employed by Automated Mail Service for the past 20 1/2 years as a mail processing specialist. She was a loyal friend and employee who appreciated the little things in life. She was a small woman with a soft voice and a mighty spirit, often getting extra things at the grocery store for her friends and neighbors that she thought would appreciate them. B.J. loved driving her car, the movies, going to eat with friends, and helping her neighbors in need. She will be missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister; and is survived by her sister Shirley Sapaugh of Salem, MO, brother Bob Mullnack of Dover, DE, sister Shelly Karr of Salem, MO, daughter Kristi Shannon of Tulsa, OK, grand-daughters Haila Baran and Hunter Bell of Tulsa, OK and many friends that dearly loved her.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m Wednesday, July 6th, 2022 at Floral Haven Chapel in Broken Arrow, OK, with Pastor James Lacey presiding.
