Betty Lou Turner's Obituary
With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Betty Lou Turner on December 22, 2024, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Born on July 25, 1928, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Lee and Minnie Mae (Shimpo) Fort, Betty lived a life filled with artistry and love.
Betty was not just a homemaker; she was a talented and passionate artist who skillfully worked with both oils and watercolors. Her creations, made with love and dedication, adorned the homes of her loved ones, graced charity auctions, and were commissioned for special events. Her artistry touched many lives and brought beauty to the world.
Betty is survived by her children, Robert Aul, Phyllis Martin, Debra Arledge, and John Turner; grandchildren, Casey Gammon, Heather Gerber, Joshua Thibodaux, Joseph Thibodaux, Joseph Aul, Tabitha Martin, Abigail Moyers, Joshua Turner, Alicia Turner, Blake Kik, and Rachell Kik; twelve great-grandchildren; and her brother, Donald Fort. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Turner and son, Steven Aul.
A memorial service to honor Betty's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Ridge Christian Church. Her family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who brought so much joy and beauty into the world.
Betty Lou Turner's legacy will live on through her art and the memories shared by all who knew her. Rest in peace, Betty.
