Beverly Harvey's Obituary
A former longtime Ashtabula resident has passed. Beverly J (Welton) Harvey passed away in the early morning hours of July 5, 2023, in Denton, Texas. Born to Robert C. Welton and Eava (Lloyd) Welton on May 25, 1931, Beverly was a 1949 graduate of Ashtabula High School. She wed Adrian “John” Harvey on September 10, 1950. Together they spent the next nearly forty years living and working in the Ashtabula area. Beverly was active in city bowling leagues and a member of the Rebecca Lodge. She loved volunteering service work and spent many years working various jobs at Harbor Pizza Villa, Jupiters, and K-Mart, to name a few.
In 1987, Beverly and John moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to be near family. Beverly initially worked in food services at several Nursing Homes and later for Chick-Fil-A at the Promenade Mall in Tulsa. Some years later she went to work in the Nutrition Services Department of the Broken Arrow School systems, working there for over ten years. After leaving the school systems, Beverly remained in Broken Arrow for many years before moving to Denton, Texas in 2021. In retirement, she continued her passions for reading Western novels, completing crossword puzzles, and save up pennies for Poker night.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Eava Welton, her sister, Roberta Cropek (2014), and her husband Adrian J. Harvey (2010). She is survived by her son, Randy (Nora) Harvey of Argyle, TX, her daughter Renee (Vince) Timonere of Tulsa, OK, three granddaughters, Chandra (Micheal) Clark of Gilbert, AZ, Kristin Harvey of Denton, TX, Randi Timonere of Tulsa, OK, one great-grandson, Jarrod Clark, of Northlake, TX, and several nieces and nephews.
She will be placed at rest beside her husband of nearly sixty years, at Floral Haven Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
The family would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the staff of Good Samaritan Lake Forest Senior Living Center, the medical staff at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton, and Trio Hospice for their outstanding care and concern given to our loved one.
