Her parents were Eustace Arthur Turner and Evelyn Almeda (Wright) Turner. She had one brother Arthur Alan Turner that resides in TX.
Beverly was married to Lawrence Wayne Hicks May 29,1958 in Broken Arrow after graduation from Union High School in Tulsa. Larry and Beverly had two sons, Bob, and Bryan Hicks. Bob is married to Mary Ann, and they live in Catoosa, OK.
Beverly has two grandsons, Robby, and Larry Hicks. She has one granddaughter, Madison, and one great grandson, Griffen.
Her husband Larry passed away in May of 1984.
Beverly had a lengthy career in the Oil and Gas business. She was employed by Knight Industries in
1957. She started out as Mr. Knight's secretary and worked her way up to be in personnel management. Mr. Knight sold the company in 1980. She continued working at the same company after the sale and became Ingersoll Rand and then Dresser Rand Compression Services. She worked in personnel management and hired countless people to work in the compressor packaging plant in Broken Arrow. She retired in September of 2000.
After retirement Beverly volunteered at St. Francis South Hospital for 10 years. She also volunteered at the Broken Arrow Police Department. She wanted to spend her time helping others.
Beverly was also a member of a sorority in Broken Arrow. Beverly also attended First United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow.
She enjoyed ballroom dancing and spending time with her long-term friends, playing Bunko, going to parties, and going out to dinner.
Beverly has lived in Broken Arrow since 1947.
