B. Sue Davis' Obituary
Sue was born January 15, 1925 in Sherman, Tx to Charles W. Young and Claudia Susan Hudnall Young.
Sue made a profession of faith in Christ Jesus at a young age. She attended church all her life and taught Christian values to her children and grandchildren.
Sue Davis, age 98, of Wagoner, OK went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, November 18, 2023 in Muskogee, OK. Sue was preceded in death by her parents; Charles & Claudia Young, husband Lloyd Dale Davis, her daughter Gayle Davis Bull, two brothers Charles Young and Jim Young, and her grandson Richard Alan Henson, Jr.
Sue lived in Sherman, Tx until she was 12 yrs old, then the family moved to Broken Arrow, OK where she graduated high school. Sue married Dale on November 14, 1942. Sue and Dale were apart for three years due to WWII. After his return home, Dale went to Northeastern State College for his pre-med education. They started their family with the birth of their daughter, Gayle Ann. Then they moved to Kansas City, MO where Dale obtained his medical degree. Sue was a full-time stay at home mom. They moved back to Wagoner and the family grew with daughter Ellen and son Phil and daughter Beth. Dale and Sue were Christ followers and members of FBC Wagoner for many years. Sue loved sewing, crocheting, playing Bridge, traveling and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Sue leaves behind a legacy of love and unwavering devotion to family. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sue is survived by her children: Ellen Henson and husband Rick, Phil Davis and wife Lori, and Beth Brown and husband Marvin; eight grandchildren, Shane, Mendy, Rebecca, Jayson, Phillip, Heather, Amy and Daniel; twenty-three great grandchildren, Mallory, Caitlyn, Aidan, Gavin, Kyle, Blaye, Xander,Skylar, Noah, Logan, Keegan, Garrett, Ellie, Ian, Conner, Trenton, Kenley, Iris, Rosie, Kage, Marie, Ema, and Grant; six great great-grandchilden, Michael, Thomas, Lee, Henry Clay, Archie, Willow and one on the way! Several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the First Baptist Church, 401 NE 2nd Street, Wagoner, Oklahoma.
