BIllie Wayne Hobbs Jr.'s Obituary
Billie Wayne Hobbs, Jr 'Bill' was born January 7, 1953 in Tulsa, OK. He was the oldest son of 5 children to Billie Wayne and Joann Turner Hobbs. He grew up in the Collinsville & Oologah area. He graduated from Oologah High School in 1971. Bill joined the Navy and was part of the Vietnam War. He married Sandy Lewis and through this union they had 2 children, Heather Hobbs Haws and Billie Wayne Hobbs, III. After his divorce with Sandy, a few years later he married Debbie Medlock and through that union had a son, Justin Dewayne Hobbs. Bill was active in football during his high school years, but his passion was fishing. He would fish several tournaments and take his children with him on several occasions. His main fishing buddy was his brother, Roy. Bill worked at Blue Circle Cement Plant as a welder for thirty years until his retirement in 2007. Bill passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. He is survived by his children, Heather Hobbs Haws, her husband Eric Haws, of Broken Arrow, OK; his son, Billie 'Bill' Wayne Hobbs, III and his wife, Tambi, and son, Justin Dewayne Hobbs of Claremore, OK; two sisters, Peggy Haddock and husband Randy of Sand Springs, OK; Betty Jo Hobbs of Louisiana and brother, Roy Hobbs and wife Joyce of Glenpool, OK; 4 grandchildren: Tyler & Kaitlin Haws of Broken Arrow, OK; Blake & Brandon Hobbs of Collinsville, OK; nephews Garrett & Conner Hobbs of Glenpool, OK; Dan Allen 'Tucker' Smith; along with a great niece and nephew and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Billie Wayne Hobbs, Sr & Joann Turner Hobbs Collins, 1 brother, Kenneth Elton Hobbs and 1 niece Tina Smith Endress.
