Billie Wanda Marion, a beloved resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on December 14, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 91. She was born on March 19, 1932 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. She was the devoted wife of Rosen Marion, sharing a blissful marriage for over 44 years.
Billie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her culinary skills were renowned, and she took pride in cooking for her family. A green thumb, she nurtured her own vegetable garden, reaping the rewards of nature's bounty. Her nimble fingers crafted beautiful pieces as she passionately indulged in the art of crocheting.
A free spirit, Billie cherished the open road and spontaneous adventures. Vacations across the United States became cherished memories, marked by unplanned journeys and the thrill of exploration. Her strong personality was matched by a sweetness that endeared her to all who knew her. The great outdoors held a special place in Billie's heart, and she relished moments by the lake and under the sky.
Her love extended to her fur baby dogs, who were loyal companions throughout the years. Above all, Billie's deepest joy came from being surrounded by her family.
In remembering Billie Wanda Marion, we celebrate a life well-lived, rich with love, laughter, and cherished moments. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and devotion that will be fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
Billie was preceded in passing by her parents, her siblings, and her daughter, Paula Dawes. She is survived by her husband, Rosen Marion; her daughter, Sue Stroud and her husband, Glenn; her grandchildren, Rick Dawes III and his wife, Peggy, Chad Dawes, and Jennifer Fritz and her husband, Eric; her great-grandchildren, Alexis and Logan Fritz, Sam, Devin, Grayce, Mason, Brody and Carson Dawes, and numerous other family members and friends.
Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 PM, Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel
