I worked for Bill at The Fish Net in the ’60s, starting when I was about 11 years old. I also worked at another pet store in Boman Acres Shopping Center in which Bill was part owner and then again for a short time a few years later when he had gotten in the painting business. Bill and Rachel were very nice people and I am glad we crossed paths. Although I hadn’t seen Bill in a number of years, I have fond memories of him. My condolences to his family.
I was so surprised to see Bill’s death notice — especially at 88! He wore his age well. I remember Bill’s enthusiasm when it came to kids and their sports! He was faithful as a coach and a dad. He and Rachel were stalwarts in our neighborhood through her work in the Tulsa school system and his work in helping beautify and maintain our homes. I could always count on him doing a great job when I needed painting or sheetrock work.
