Billie Jean Webster "Blues Sister Jeanie"

My mother Becky Palone went to school with Jeannie and was best friends with her all their lives even though they both went different directions they still love each other very much and Jeannie was like a second mother to me. Just the best person and the biggest sweetheart you could ever meet every time you went to her house she would have something to eat telling you sit down let's eat! Listen to some blues music! And her son Patrick a very good friend I haven't seen in years but he's the one who taught me how to play my first guitar chords thank you very much sir! I still try to play a lot of stuff that you play that I couldn't to this day lol. But along with Arnold and Angie and Chris and every now and then I would see their other brothers and sisters and Jeannie's sister that family was the coolest you always felt like family around them and always had a great time at those Blues Fest thank you Jeannie will be seeing you. I knew jeanne when we were teenagers. we were good friends….When I married, and moved, I lost track of her and all my schoolfriends … WE reunited years later due to the death of another friend…Becky Palone. 2 yrs ago. I will always have good memories of their friendship. Jeannie and I talked a lot when we got back together …and I got to visit her at her house. Arnold took us to Olive Garden . Yes we had a good time ….. Thank you Arnold… I will always cherish the time we had …. though it was short. Jeannie I will be visiting you …. I hope you know I'm there.. I love you Mousey…

I will miss Blues Sister Jeanie (mom)immensely. She took me under her wings many years ago and loved me unconditionally and for that I am extremely grateful. I have blessed along with many others to have known such a loving, caring, kind and compassionate woman. Her dedication to the blues is appreciated for she was a sister to the blues for sure and that will always be.

jeanie you are the most amazing aunt. I have so many memories! You sparked my love for music of all kinds, even down to the kids sing along tape you gave me when I was 3 yrs old. The stories you told me of growing up in the "Whisman" family. I will continue to pass down the stories and cherish our time together. Unlike when we went on walk and I fell into the cactus bush this won't brush off easy, I will have to pull through the pain and grief just like i would have if the torns were pulled out one by one. I Love you.

I met Jeanie and Arnold and Family a year after I had been in Tulsa through a friend named Vivian. I am so Thankful that Jeanie was and is my friend I will truly miss her. Jeanie was there for me when I lost my Mother.In my Hospice Career I was blessed to return the favor to my Dearest Friend and Her Loving Family. God Bless you all Keep in Touch

We first heard of Jeanie through her son, Pat.She always had an infectious smile and great since of humor. When she walked into a blues festival, or benefit, everyone wanted to walk up and give her big hug. When the blues society of tulsa was in it`s infancy, we asked for Jeanie's help, She led us on the right path with great advice,and leads on whos- who in the Blues Scene at the time .We sincerely mean it when we all say "We miss her now, and we always will." Arnold, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
