Bro Bill Collins was Christian and a pilot who befriended me over several years. He and I both had Mooney airplanes, his was the stretch model where the back seat had several more inches of needed room. He stored my old Lycoming crank case in his hanger when I had a prop strike and got a new motor. He met me at the airport when I’d come years before to buy a plane I decided I didn't want to own. He had an app on his phone that told where planes in the area were flying He told me he wasn’t flying anymore as the last time he noticed his depth perception was off. He said he almost cried when he sold his Mooney. Now he’s taken his last flight, like Pastor Don Martin preached at his funeral.
I will really miss seeing him at Metro Church when we visit again, Lord willing.
