Anna Standaert
I know no one reads these anymore for this amazing women has been 'haunting' us for several years just like she said she would but tonight I am really missing her she was my hero I looked up to her in every way shape and form. I remember every time we would come down we would always cook together though it was never with the right measurements because "we don't need to measure that shit we can just guess". Blanche was the kind of woman who never left the house without her eyebrows drawn on (because they never grew back after her many years of shaving them in her youth) ,drank milk with ice cubes in it and almost always found a way to add some syrup into it to sweeten it up a little bit. Blanche was a strong, stubborn and very strong woman. I still have the bracelets that she sent me when she was going through chemo (we used them to count down the amount of sessions she had left). every Wednesday she would call me and we would take one bracelet off together while those bracelets were annoying as hell and all my teachers hated the metal on metal sound I never took those off. I miss this amazing woman. I love you grandma
