Bobby Gene Shouse's Obituary
Bobby Gene Shouse, born in Dawson, Oklahoma on February 15, 1932-husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, neighbor, wood master craftsman, all-around do-it-yourselfer, and charcoal hamburger cooker – was called home on December 3, 2025.
Bob’s memory will be cherished by his sister, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom will miss “PaPa” dearly and will carry his legacy throughout their own lives and the lives of the their families.
Many homes in the Tulsa area were built from the ground up or remodeled with room additions under the skillful hand and eye of Bob. His dedicated work ethic was beyond reproach.
He loved helping his family and was known to be able to fix anything or to give advice on how to fix something with an unending supply of items from “Papa’s Hardware Store”.
Bob was a lifelong Tulsan and raised his family with his wife, Ernestine. They shared 56 years of marriage and will now be united once again.
He is also preceded in death by his parents, and 13 siblings.
He is survived by his sister, Juanita Quillen
Daughters, Lynn Harger (Larry), Kim King, and Beverly Johnson.
Grandchildren, Kristen Wittman (TW), AJ King (Courtney), Kasey Hernandez (Ricardo), and Chris King
Great-grandchildren, Ethan Wittman, Oliver Hernandez, Eliana Hernandez, and Danilo Hernandez.
A celebration of life will be held at Floral Haven Chapel on Monday, December 15th at 3:00 p.m.
There will be a reception following the service in the Floral Haven Family Center.
