Remembering my mother is hard for me to put in words. There are so many memories that we all have of her. I will do the best I can to share just a few of mine.
She had a love for our family. I think of my mother as strong willed and determined.
She loved the girl scouts and I believe she had a positive influence on many young girls.
She had an artistic side, painted and worked in and with photography.
She had a love for nature, I remember her always talking about the smoky mountains and how pretty the trees are in the fall.
We always talked about what we were cooking and eating, she would say “I just love those”, whatever it was at the time.
I remember her encouraging me, but not in an overbearing way. Some of the things I did, I am sure did not make sense to her, because she told me, “that don’t make sense”. As is probably always the case with all parents and their children.
It is a huge loss to us all, but I do take some comfort in knowing she can rest in peace.
