I was unaware that my aunt had passed until recently. No one notified me. Since my mother, Bonnie’s sister, passed away in 2006, I had lost touch with Aunt Bonnie. Bonnie was an extremely nice lady who always looked polished. She was very kind to me. Aunt Bonnie introduced me to fried okra when I was in college by preparing some for me. It was fantastic. A trip to Aunt Bonnie’s was never complete until we went shopping. I have fond memories of showing each other what we had bought once we returned to her house. I loved Aunt Bonnie. I am sorry that we lost touch and I was unable to enjoy her company. I know though that I will see her again in Heaven.
