Bonnie Lou Young's Obituary
Bonnie Lou Young, a resident of Broken Arrow, met her Savior face to face on April 16, 2018 at the age of 91. She was born February 2, 1927 to Dennis and Helen (Frye) Burkett in Lomax, Illinois. She was a member of South Tulsa Baptist Church and retired as a Bookkeeper. She enjoyed reading, Bible study, RV traveling, arts and crafts but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.She was preceded in death by her second husband, Morris E. Young; first husband, Neil L. Reed; mother, Helen Frye Burkett; father, Dennis Burkett and sister, Pat Johnson.Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Dunn and husband, Don of Broken Arrow; granddaughter, Shannon Lowe and husband, Mac of Broken Arrow; grandson, Reed Dunn and wife, Lee Ann of Joplin, MO; brother, Frank Burkett of Maine; great grandchildren, Fletcher Lowe, Carson Lowe, Preston Lowe, Miriam Lowe, Jennalee Dunn, Adeline Dunn and Tiki Dunn.Private Family Services will be held at late date.Memorial gifts may be made to, Christ the King Presbyterian Church, 1930 Virginia Ave, Joplin, Missouri 64804 or Mingo Valley Christian, 8304 S 107th E Ave, Tulsa, OK, 74133.
