Brandon Cemp Fugate's Obituary
Brandon Cemp Fugate, 46, left his earthly home to be with the Lord on March 1, 2025.
Brandon was born January 4, 1979, in Shawnee Mission, Kansas to Terry and Glenna
Fugate. Brandon graduated from Charles Page High School in 1998. Brandon married the
love of his life and best friend, Christine Anifantis on March 1, 2008. They had their first
child, Hagan, in May 2010 and their second, Olivia in April 2015. Brandon earned his B.S. in
Engineering Technology from Oklahoma State University in 2014 and later his Masters of
Science in Engineering and Technology Management.
Brandon worked for American Electric Power for more than 25 years. During his time at AEP ,
he worked his way up from a Contractor, to Designer, to Engineer and then finished his
career as Manager of Wireless Engineering. In 2015, he earned two IT Deming Idea Awards
with AEP; one for “Idea of the Year” and the other for “Highest Value to our Business
Partners”.
In 2016 he earned the “Key Contributor” award within AEP. Brandon’s
commitment to his work and work product was second to none.
Brandon enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends. One of Brandon’s favorite ways to
spend his time was watching his kids compete in sports. He enjoyed camping, good music
– specifically Jimmy Buffett, good food and the beaches of Mexico. Brandon loved his
family and was a friend to everyone he knew. He will be dearly missed by those of us that
knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Terry Fugate, and his grandparents, Cemp and
Wilma Minnick and George and Ida Mae Fugate. He is survived by his wife, Christine Fugate
and two children, Hagan (14) and Olivia (9) of Bixby, OK, his mother, Glenna Fugate of Tulsa,
brothers, Troy Fugate and his children, Taylor, Kaed, Taryn and Mia of Tulsa, and Aaron
Fugate, his wife, Hollace, and their children Cale, Lincoln and Max of Bixby, mother and
father-in-law Mike and Rita Anifantis of Fort Lauderdale, FL, brother and sister-in-law,
Corey and Nicole Andrews and their children, Jameson, Beau and Drue of Fort Lauderdale,
FL.
